After a dramatic scene opener, Sabina returns to her hometown with her son. She plans to live with her parents until she gets on her feet. Sabina’s surprise and shaken state is evident when she runs into her one true love, the one she could never forget, her everything. Finding out that he lives in town and is available catches her off guard. Will they be able to reconnect and have a second chance at love that they deserved in the first place?

All I can say is WOW! This book was a quick read for me. It kept me focused page after page. I didn’t want to put it down, and I definitely did not want the story to end.
The relationship between Sabina and Nate was so realistic and relatable I could feel the emotions within my heart as a I read. Author Shawna Fletcher wrote grand descriptions depicting their emotions, making it easy to immerse myself into the story.
The story is one of pure love, conflict, and turmoil. The man that Nate is, is a man that all women desire and deserve.
There are some spicy scenes within the story, but they are not predominant. The plot and character story are the focus in this book.
I HIGHLY recommend this read to anyone who loves a realistic, tear-jerker love story. I am not one to cry reading a book. To be honest, I don’t know if I ever have, until now. Worth the read. I loved this story and have a book hangover from it.

""The story follows Sabina, who sadly lost her husband of 16 years very suddenly & moves back to her hometown with her teenage son to be with her family. Since being back, she finds she is constantly bumping into her ex-boyfriend/best friend. He makes his intentions clear. He is very happy to see her after so many years and wants to reconnect. However, Sabina is still in the throws of grief while trying to be a support to her son, who also lost his father.

This is a second chance, friends to lovers romance with some spice thrown in there too. This is not my typical genre, and I found it a little slow to start, but once it got going, I really resonated with Sabina and found myself fully invested in the story, rooting for the main characters.
There was a BIG plot twist that I did not see coming either and caught me, so off guard!

Overall, this was a nice read, and really warmed my heart (even if it did make me cry!)"
